For me, spring and especially Easter, mark a true turning point in the year. It’s not just a change of season, but a sense of beginning again. It’s a time to let go of everything that has weighed on us since the start of the year, to start fresh, and to embrace a kind of physical, spiritual, and domestic spring cleaning.
Easter holds some of my fondest childhood memories. We would spend those few days in my village in Corsica, surrounded by family and friends. There were picnics, laughter, sunshine… and of course, plenty of chocolate.
I was incredibly lucky, my mother always made this celebration feel truly special. My chocolate eggs looked more like elaborate centerpieces, works of art that would disappear in a single weekend, devoured by a cheerful pack of wild children.
Today, the chocolate may be a little less extravagant… or maybe not ! It now comes with a small gift, a way of welcoming something new with the season. I love this tradition, and I cherish even more the joy of passing it on to those around me.
If this piece belongs in my wishlist, it’s because this time of year reminds me of what truly matters: softness, serenity, renewal, a generous dose of chocolate… and why not a Fabergé Egg? After all, it’s nice to dream, isn’t it?
And what about you — do you have any special traditions for Easter?
